1. Why don't you sell your purses outright?
As a part-time field staff member for Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), I must raise my support to provide income and cover my travel and expenses . The cost of your purse goes directly to my support and allows me to continue to serve on campuses near me.
2. What do you do at Cru?
I serve faculty members at universities near home and abroad by praying for them, visiting them, and stirring them to live out their faith on their campuses. As a Faculty Commons staff member, we engage in activities on campus like “Thank A Prof” which encourages students to encourage their professors by writing thank you notes. I then have the blessing of hand delivering these to the professors and visiting with them in their offices.
3. How does “selling” purses benefit your ministry?
Your Cheryl Irish Purse is like a prayer reminder. I hope that when you carry your purse, you will remember to pray for professors in your community and for my ministry with university faculty members through Cru.
Though I love to make totes and purses and enjoy sharing them with you, it is my greatest joy to serve the Lord Jesus. My personal relationship with Him makes it possible for me to share His free gift of eternal life with professors.
